June 28, 2017October 27, 2017 by Wilson Volleyball, posted in Expedition

After fantastic days at West Cape we have gotten back into our kayaks and started paddling again. We have passed the border to the county of Møre og Romsdal, the county where me and Jan live! It is good being back in these familiar waters, cause we both agree that this is the most beautiful … Continue reading Passing into familiar waters

Friendly people everywhere

June 28, 2017October 27, 2017 by Wilson Volleyball, posted in Expedition

The hike back to our kayaks went well and we took our time getting back, fishing and relaxing a bit. When we got to Leikanger, the town where we put our kayaks, we decided to go shopping and go for a dinner at the local pub. But before we got so far, we got talking … Continue reading Friendly people everywhere

June 23, 2017October 27, 2017 by Wilson Volleyball, posted in Expedition

We have arrived at Selje, the last town we will visit before we get to the mostwesterly point of mainland Norway. Our plan was to paddle around West Cape, but these are the most dangerous waters in Norway. Thevikings would take their ships over land to avoid going around West Cape by sea. The county … Continue reading Ready to conquer West Cape

June 22, 2017October 27, 2017 by Wilson Volleyball, posted in Expedition

It’s the longest day of the year and we have made camp a few kilometers from the city of Måløy. At this camp spot we met some very nice people that where barbecuing and celebrating the summer solstice. Respecting your leader

June 16, 2017October 27, 2017 by Wilson Volleyball, posted in Expedition

Like I said before, I am the perfect leader. But even if you are perfect, there is no guarantee that your subordinates are just as perfect being subordinates. After many days of shouting my mules forward, it seemed they no longer were capable of taking orders... What can one do when you are surrounded by … Continue reading Respecting your leader

We have now reached the ocean and the starting point of Sognefjorden. This means that we have now paddled the worlds longest ice free fjord. June 4, 2017October 27, 2017 by Wilson Volleyball, posted in Expedition

Yesterday we camped in a fjord called Finnafjorden, which is a very small fjord connected to Sognefjorden. It’s like a mini fjord, only a few kilometers longand it is amazingly lush and green. There are no roads to this fjord and the nearest town is 30 minutes away by boat and yet there is one … Continue reading No road access
