The winter is slowly creeping lower and lower down the mountains. We have therefore decided to change our route and go lower and closer to the coast. This way we can continue by foot for much longer. In the lowlands there are more forest roads, which is handy if there should come a lot of snow. For us, the biggest bonus is the possibility to start making bonfires again, since we now have an abundant source of wood. For the last two days we have been making bonfire, and as an added bonus the aurora has shown itself both days as well. Nothing is more magical than having a bonfire and the aurora at the same time when you are out in the wilderness.
