After many days with clear weather and freezing temperatures, the weather changed abruptly and the first blizzard (named Ylva) for the season has arrived. Have we had our winter equipment, this would just have been a fun challenge for us. Since we don’t have the right gear for this kind of event, we decided to seek shelter at a local farm, where they have lent us a whole house! What a perfect place to stay when riding of a storm. Some places the wind speed reached hurricane force, but around here it was “only” around 25 to 30 m/s. The power was out for almost two days, but we enjoyed sitting by the candle light, listening to the wind roaring outside.
